Passive Optical Test Access Points for Duplex Monitoring

The ideal way to non-intrusively monitor and sniff network traffic is to use a Passive Optical Test Access Point (TAP). Optical TAPs split light from the fiber in order to deliver the signal to PROVA-X’s test port for analysis. Because PROVA-X’s TAPs are completely passive, all-optical devices, they are extremely reliable with no impact on Service Level Specification (SLS). Finally, Siama System’s duplex TAPs are available in both multimode and single mode versions, with various power split ratios. The LGX form factor allows for multiple duplex monitoring modules to be housed in a rackmount chassis with optional fiber cable management.
